🎷🌶️Jazz Appreciation Month! 🎶🔥

Jazz has always been close to my heart, and when I'm not busy making hot sauce, I love performing jazz standards and cabaret tunes. Growing up, our home was always filled with music, especially jazz, which has shaped my musical influences. Some of my biggest inspirations include Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Shirley Horn, June Christy, Miles Davis, Horace Silver, and Alberta Hunter. Alberta Hunter, a pioneering African American jazz and blues singer, had a career that spanned over six decades. Interestingly, she played a role in my family's history by introducing my parents while they were at Goldwater Hospital on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Here, I'm pictured performing my one woman show:  Come on Up! My Castle's Rockin: A Tribute to Alberta Hunter with my amazing trio at Triad Theater, NYC in 2018.

Alicia Crowe performs a heartfelt jazz tribute to Alberta Hunter at Triad Theater in New York City. The stage is softly lit, highlighting Alicia as she sings passionately into the microphone, surrounded by talented musicians. The audience is captivated by the soulful tribute, honoring the legacy of Alberta Hunter with each note.
